Each student who wishes to enter the OCUReads Essay Contest will write a 750-1000 word essay in response to a topic based on Loung Ung's book First They Killed My Father: a daughter of Cambodia remembers.

Essay Contest Winners
Essay Contest Winners will be announced prior to Loung Ung's Lecture and Book Presentation on Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Petree Recital Hall, Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Building.

Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded for the winning OCUReads essays. To be eligible for the contest you must be enrolled in the Fall 2006 Semester as a first time OCU student and be working toward an undergraduate degree.
