Summer Schedule 2008
Morning Pilates Class
(Starting Thursday, July 3rd – Tuesday, August 5th)
Cost to register for this class which begins on Thursday, July 3rd and runs through Tuesday, August 5th is $30. This rate applies to OCU students, faculty, staff, retirees, alumni, and their respective spouses or significant others. Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 am–7:45 am at Centennial Hall on the Second Floor in the Cardio Room.
Note: Space is limited!! Please fill out both an OCU fitness program registration form and medical release form. Make checks payable to “Oklahoma City University Wellness”. Registration and medical release forms can be downloaded from OCU IM Sports (www.okcu.edu/students/intramural). Turn in completed registration forms with appropriate fee to Lacy Brown (in class) or to the OCU IM sports office in Room 220 of the Freede Wellness Center.
Class Description
Pilates is often referred to strength training from the inside out. Pilates exercise will improve the performance of everyday activities, enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, and rehabilitate imbalances. Benefits of practicing Pilates are: stronger, leaner muscles, more flexibility, improved balance and coordination, improved posture, and improved mental concentration and well- being.
Schedules, Instructor, Etc…
Participants should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing that will allow easy, non-restricted movement. OCU’s Pilates Class is led by Lacy Brown who is a certified Pilates instructor.
