Paul Hansen Weight Room

The Paul Hansen weight room is located on the second floor of the Freede Wellness Center. The Paul Hansen weight room is a (2,500-sq. ft.) state of the art facility that overlooks Abe Lemons arena. This facility features treadmills, ellipticals, Stairmasters and stationary bikes. The weight room has a large selection of machine and free weights. The weight room has qualified personnel on staff to assist you with all your weight-training needs.

Weight training is important for all of us. Weight training can change your appearance positively. More importantly, there is significant evidence that weight training makes you feel better. It improves balance, thus reducing the potential for falls; combats osteoporosis by retarding bone loss and increasing bone density; and builds better body composition by preserving and increasing lean muscle tissue. This increases your metabolism; which burns fat, firm's muscles, strengthens joints, prevents injury and even keeps you warmer. Our qualified staff will help you reach your goals by showing you how to use the machines and proper lifting techniques.

We can continue serving you by putting you on a training program and monitoring your progress as you accomplish your goals. A training program is only as good as the person is willing to stay with it. This is why we routinely monitor your progress. "Workouts shouldn't be routine, working out should be". The weight room hours are consistent with the Freede Center hours.
