Oklahoma City University is committed to integration of technology across the campus, and we anticipate a transition to a ubiquitous laptop-computing environment over the next few years. OCU has partnered with Dell and Apple Computer to provide the OCU community with access to resources and benefits it would not otherwise have.
Currently, two schools at Oklahoma City University require their students to have laptops:
The Wanda L. Bass School of Music is an all-Apple school, while the rest of the campus is a digital dual platform campus.
If you are a student in a program other than music or nursing, you are not required to have a laptop at this time; however, it is highly recommended that you consider buying a laptop for your academic experience at OCU.
Students, other than music students, may use either Windows or Apple hardware products. Dell and Apple brands are both supported by Oklahoma City University. Some discounts are available through the University:
Some Windows-based software is required (see below), but can be used on either platform. If you have any questions, please contact the OCU HelpDesk at 405-208-7777.
Contact the OCU Office of Financial Aid now if you want to see if the purchase of a laptop can be included in your financial aid package! (405-208-5211, email@example.com)

All Kramer School of Nursing, students in all programs who have two or more semesters of nursing courses remaining before graduation — except Traditional BSN students not yet starting junior level nursing courses — will be required to have laptop computers with the above minimum specifications.
Students must bring their laptops to the orientation for their program in August for verification by the Campus Technology department that the minimum specifications have been met and to have anti-virus software loaded if necessary. Students will be expected to bring their laptops to all KSN classes.
Students may use either Windows or Apple products that meet the general specifications listed above.
