Make sure your computer is running the latest service packs, Windows updates, and network drivers. Your
wireless network card must support WPA2 Enterprise. The instructions below assume you will be using the
built in wireless management tools which come with Windows. If you will be managing wireless with alternate
utilities, no specific instructions are provided. In this case, refer to the general wireless configuration information.
STEP 1: Click the networking icon in the notification area of the taskbar.

STEP 2: Click the "Open Network and Sharing Center" link.

STEP 3: Click "Set up a new connection or network".
|
STEP 4: Choose "Manually connect to a wireless network" and click "Next".

STEP 5: For the network name enter "ocu". Select "WPA2-Enterprise" as the security type. Select "AES" as the encryption type. Set the checkboxes to whatever settings you prefer. Click "Next".

STEP 6: Click "Change connection settings".

STEP 7: Go to the "Security" tab. To simplify future connections to the network, check "Remember my credentials for this connection each time I'm logged on". Select "Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)". Click the "Settings..." button.

STEP 8: Uncheck "Validate server certificate" and "Enable Fast Reconnect". Select "Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)" as the authentication method. Click the "Configure..." button.

STEP 9: Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" and click the "OK" button.

STEP 10: Return to the Wireless Network Properties Security tab. Click the Advanced Settings button.

STEP 11: Check the box for Specify authentication mode. Click the drop-down box and choose User Authentication. Then click the Save Credentials button, enter your OCU network username and password, then click OK.

STEP 12: Click the "OK" or "Close" buttons on all windows you still have open. If a pop up alert balloon is displayed near your task bar stating "Additional information is required to connect", click inside this balloon and enter your OCU network username and password.
