Windows XP Wireless Network Configuration
Prerequisite
Make sure your computer is running the latest service packs, Windows updates, and network drivers. Your
wireless network card must support WPA2 Enterprise. The instructions below assume you will be using the
built in wireless management tools which come with Windows. If you will be managing wireless with alternate
utilities, no specific instructions are provided. In this case, refer to the general wireless configuration information.
Automated configuration
STEP 1: Click here and choose to "Run" the configuration utility on the computer you wish to setup.
|
STEP 2: When asked for a location to unzip the files to, you must leave the default location as it is set for the utility to run correctly. Once it extracts the necessary files, it will automatically begin the configuration. Once finished configuring, close all opened windows related to the utility.
|
STEP 3: A pop up alert balloon will be displayed near your task bar stating "Click here to select a certificate or other credentials for connection to the network ocu". Click inside this balloon.
|
STEP 4: Enter your OCU network username (e.g. "jdoe") and password. Enter "OCU" as your logon domain. Click the "OK" button.
|
