In addition to Scholarships offered by Oklahoma City University and the Petree College of Arts & Sciences, the Art Department has several endowed and gifted sources of financial assistance available to students majoring in Studio Art or Photography.
Majorie J. Norick and Frances Norick Lilly Endowed Scholarships
Talent–based awards given each year to students majoring in Studio Art or Photography who have demonstrated accomplishment in their chosen fields.
Qualifying students receive an award upon entering Oklahoma City University and will get the same amount, or greater each year as they pursue a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Oklahoma City University. Preference is given to Oklahoma residents.
Iva B. Kelley Scholarship
Awarded annually to junior and senior Oklahoma residents who are majoring in Studio Art and Photography who have maintained at least an overall 2.5 grade point average. Preference is given to Comanche High School graduates.
Roberta M. Miller Art Scholarship
Available to students studying the arts and who have maintained at least a 2.5 grade average while pursuing a degree at Oklahoma City University.
Ruth J. Brooks Scholarship
Need-prioritized awards given to students who have shown achievement in painting, drawing, or sculpture.
Brunel Faris Art Exploration Scholarship
Given each spring to an art student with at least a 3.0 overall grade point average who has demonstrated exceptional artistic capacity. This scholarship is awarded by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
Given to students who exhibit outstanding work in the student show each year in March.
