About the Program

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is the largest research university in southern Europe that teaches in English, with leading programs in Medicine, Law, International Relations, International Accounting, Architecture, Computer Science and Engineering, and the number one program in the world for Digital Currency and Blockchain Technology.

FIRST AND LARGEST MEDICAL SCHOOL

UNIC founded the first and largest Medical School in Cyprus by offering the St George's, University of London Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) graduate-entry program. Building on this experience, the School has since added an undergraduate-entry medical program and a number of postgraduate degrees, and also established global partnerships with renowned clinical hospitals in Chicago, Baltimore,Tel Aviv and Barnsley.

Nicosia was ranked by the Financial Times as the top small city in Europe for human capital and lifestyle, ahead of Cambridge, Oxford and Geneva. It offers a terrific student life and a multicultural community that boasts tens of thousands of students from over 70 countries.

UNIC is widely regarded as having the most developed university Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Initiative in the world. In addition to teaching, it has made significant progress in research and development in key areas of Certificate issuance.

UNIC RESIDENCES

The newly built UNIC Residences consist of three separate complexes - SIX, U and TRIANGLE - and are some of the most stunning and architecturally distinct student residences in the world. They house a total of 864 students, with first-year incoming students at the University guaranteed accommodation.

ENHANCED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

The University provides a student-focused learning environment with small class sizes (average 13:1 student/ faculty ratio), a wide range of laboratories for hands-on student experience, and innovative teaching methods (including problem-based learning).

Housing

Housing at UNIC

Housing is guaranteed for all students who apply by the deadline. Most housing comprises university-owned apartments within walking distance from campus. Standard housing is a shared room in a two-bedroom apartment. Apartments include full kitchens and are fully furnished and fully equipped, with utensils, appliances, wifi and AC/heating.

Fees

The following fees are paid to University of Nicosia

  • Program Fee: $4800 to $6600 depending on program
  • Student Housing: Included in program fee
  • Nonrefundable Deposit: $250 (deducted from program fee)
  • Mandatory Medical Insurance: $150
  • Transportation to and from the airport: Included in program fee

Not included in program fee

  • Round-trip international airfare: Varies by itinerary
  • Meals: Estimated student cost $1000 to $1500
  • Local transportation: $150
  • Books: $50 to $150
  • Passport and visa fees

Eligibility

  • Sophomore standing or above
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at beginning of program
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Good standing with OKCU
