Student Research

Student research results in the discovery of new scientific knowledge!  Undergraduate students engaged in scholarship activities will be attempting to answer a question to which the answer is not known with certainty.  Through the process of scientific method, scholars attempt to find all knowledge on an particular subject and form a hypothesis based on what is "known" about a subject.  Then, observations are made by either placing themselves in the "field" where naturally occurring observations can be made, or contrive an experiment by which observations can be made in an artificial environment.

Student research generally results in a formal research paper which may be presented at Oklahoma City University's annual Poster Contest, published in a journal, and/or presented at conference.
