Presidential Faculty & Student Fellowship

Presidential Faculty & Student
Research / Creative Activity Fellowship

The Presidential Faculty & Student Research / Creative Activity Fellowship is intended to identify, recognize, reward, and support faculty research and creative projects. Awards will be made to faculty with demonstrated potential for outstanding scholarly research or creative activity in their field, and Fellows will engage OCU students in meaningful ways in scholarly or creative projects.

The Fellowship provides cash stipends for faculty members and students as well as funding for professional development, travel, or other expenses related to the project. Up to eight Fellowships will be awarded for the 2022-23 academic year, and up to at least five Fellowships will be awarded in the following two academic years.

Fellowship Benefits

For each Fellowship awarded:

  • Faculty Fellows will receive a $7,000 stipend at the beginning of the award period in addition to a budget of up to $1,500 for professional development, travel, or other expenses related to the project.
  • Students engaged in the project will receive a $1,000 stipend at the beginning of the award period in addition to a budget of up to $500 for travel or other expenses related to the project. (For projects that engage more than one student, the student award can be divided appropriately.)
  • Recipients (both faculty and students) will be recognized on the Presidential Fellowship web pages, and scholarly/creative projects will be highlighted upon completion.
