Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

High School Counselor Recommendation Form

A student may submit their request for recommendation to their high school counselor through the online application. First, add the counselor’s name to the Recommendation Provider List. The student will need to provide a counselor’s email address in order to process the request online.

If the student wishes to print off the form and submit it directly to their counselor, they may access the form from the the link below. If submitting offline, the student should check the box on their application indicating the form will be submitted offline.

Official High School Transcripts

To be considered official, the transcript must be sent directly from the school. OCU accepts secure electronic transcripts from E-Script, Parchment, XAP or other online transcript service. Check with your high school to see if they participate with any electronic service. Please use [email protected] when sending a transcript to OCU via an electronic transcript service.

We do not accept scanned copies of transcripts. A student may be admitted with a six-semester transcript, but the student must send a final transcript after graduating.

Official ACT or SAT Scores

The OCU ACT code is 3416 and SAT code is 6543.

Scores may appear on a student's high school transcript or be directly reported from the testing service. Test scores need not be reported independently if they have already been included with the official high school transcript. OCU accepts either ACT or SAT scores. A student may submit as many individual test scores as they deem necessary. OCU will evaluate all composite scores and superscore as appropriate. We will accept test scores through July 31st of a student's senior year for academic and departmental scholarship upgrades.

AP or CLEP Scores

If an AP or CLEP score appears on a student's transcript, they are required to send the official score report to the Office of the Registrar prior to enrollment.
