Arrival Checklist
Now that you are admitted to Oklahoma City University, it's time to prepare for your arrival on campus! Here is a checklist to help you get started!
- Log in to BlueLink and set up your student email account: You should have received your BlueLink ID and password as well as your OCU Email and password by email shortly after you were admitted. If you did not, please contact your admission counselor! BlueLink is where you will find important information about your enrollment, financial aid, announcements, and more. Your OCU email is how we will notify you of important information that you need to know. Both should be used regularly! If you have problems logging in to BlueLink or Email, contact Campus Technology at 405-208-5555
- Apply for University Housing: Students who are over the age of 21 have the option to find off-campus housing. Students are strongly encouraged to make housing arrangements prior to arriving in Oklahoma City. Students who would like to live on campus should complete housing applications for the OCU dormitories or Cokesbury Court Apartments. See more details below.
- Prepare to submit your final official documents: If you have completed coursework since you submitted your application, please have your previous school send your final official transcript to OCU. Original documents are required at the time of enrollment, so please be sure to bring original transcripts, diplomas, and financial documents with you when you travel to OCU. Official test scores must also be submitted (TOEFL, PTE, GRE, etc.). OCU's school code is 6543.
- Immunizations: Oklahoma law requires all students to be vaccinated against Hepatitis B and MMR. Proof of vaccination is required at the time of enrollment. Review immunization requirements and prepare your documentation prior to your arrival in Oklahoma City.
- Review the Campus Health Insurance Policy or apply for a Health Insurance Waiver: OCU requires all students maintain health insurance coverage. You will automatically be enrolled in the OCU Student Health Insurance Plan when you enroll for classes and it is automatically billed to your student account each semester. You should carefully review information about the Student Health Insurance Plan before your arrival. If you already have health insurance coverage that meets the insurance requirements, you can request a waiver by sending your insurance policy details to Kelley Hinkle: kelley.hinkle@bancfirst.insurance
- Book your flight: Oklahoma City University is located only 10 miles from the Will Rogers World Airport (OKC).
- Request an Airport Pickup / Notify your counselor that your visa is approved: We can help! Let us know you are coming!
- Follow the International Admissions Office on Facebook!

You will be contacted by someone from the International Admissions office to confirm that your information has been received. Feel free to email ia@okcu.edu to confirm your pickup at anytime.
If you will be arriving outside of the normal airport pickup times, Airport Shuttle service from the airport is available for our students through Airport Express.
