OCU Meinders School of Business
Native American Business Academy Scholarship Alumni

Kyle Hoyle came from TX to interview for the OCU Meinders’ Native American Business Academy Scholarship in the summer of 2016, after graduating from Little Elm High School in Little Elm, Texas. His family had read about the full-tuition scholarship offered by the Chickasaw Nation that allowed Chickasaw students to attend the OCU Meinders School of Business. Kyle was already working in a small business, Delicious Delights (developing, producing and distributing Gourmet Olive Salad) and captivated faculty interviewers with his current business knowledge and zest for the business world.

His first year on campus, Kyle immediately ran for a position in the Student Government Association, business school senator, a position he held for three years before becoming the senior-at-large senator in his last year at OCU. Like most students, Kyle had a part-time campus job, as a student worker in the Involved Center, and he also worked for Student Life. Kyle is also a member of Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success. Kyle also joined other OCU Chickasaws students in attending the Annual Chickasaw State of the Nation address (see photo below).

Kyle has been accepted into the Meinders one-year MBA program where he hopes to continue learning and growing as an individual and as well as add to his professional credentials.
