Michelle Moon (Class of ’03) joined Visit San Antonio in 2016. She leads the destination experience team in managing large meeting groups and connecting local partners with convention meeting planners looking to grow attendance, create authentic experiences and maximize their time in the Alamo city. Michelle represented Visit San Antonio as a member of the local organizing committee for the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four and oversees high profile VIP accounts for the DMO.

A San Antonio native, Michelle has more than 17 years of experience in the meetings and events industry. In 2006, she returned to San Antonio and served as the director of special events for the revered Witte Museum, growing facility sales threefold. She went on to help open the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, managing facility sales and service teams for the new state-of-the-art performing arts center.

Michelle has served on the board of the Alamo Chapter of the National Association for Catering and Events, is the current Vice Chair of the Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation. In 2017, she received the distinguished honor of being named one of the San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 recipients.

Michelle values the importance of community involvement and enjoys giving back with her time and talents. Mentorship is an important aspect of her professional career as well as continued education. She was beyond excited to help facilitate the OCU Students of Arts Management trip to San Antonio in the Fall of 2018. As a former student and member of the organization, she understands the priceless value of “outside of the classroom” real world immersion opportunities for students.
