Biology at Oklahoma City University

The OKCU Difference

Science students at Oklahoma City University enjoy small classes sizes, classes and labs taught by professors (never by graduate Teaching Assistants), faculty advisors who guide students through their curricular paths and through preparation for graduate school or employment applications, and a high rate of acceptance into graduate and professional programs of their choice.

Biological Research at OKCU

Our students have the opportunity to pursue undergraduate research and present their findings at local, regional, and national meetings. Students have also participated in unique summer research positions at places ranging from the California Academy of Sciences to MIT, Harvard University, and places in between.

Field Study

OKCU Biology frequently offers field intensive courses to domestic and international destinations. Designed to explore the natural history and ecology, these courses also offer numerous unique research opportunities in advanced field studies and techniques; making these courses unique co-curricular experiences.
