Career Success in Montessori Education

Kathy Carey is the editor of the Montessori Life publication. She was the former Department Head of Family Services and Child Development at a Junior College and currently teaches in the Montessori TEP at OCU.

Patti Tepper-Rasmussen is the owner of the Learning Tree toys, books and games Inc. She was a former president of the American Montessori Society.

Alice Iddi-Gubbels is the founder of Pambe Ghana (Partnership for Mother Tongue-based Education in Ghana). It is a project to provide excellent, culturally appropriate primary education in a nurturing environment for children in northern Ghana. It is based on Montessori's philosophy and her multi-sensory approach to learning.

Sue Kennedy is a Montessori Teacher Educator in Colorado, Washington and other locations.

Erika Ohlhaver has been a teacher in both private and public Montessori schools as well as a Montessori Teacher educator in Texas.

Ellen Selvidge is the former Director of Montessori Audubon Charter School in New Orleans and currently teaches in a Montessori school in Switzerland.

Dr. Peggy Loeffler is the co-founder of the Montessori Teacher Education Program at OCU. Peggy was a past president of AMS, an AMS Living Legacy recipient, authored numerous articles and co-authored several books.

Suzi Shelton Dodge was also a past president of AMS.

Bee Pape is the co-founder of the Montessori Teacher Education Program at OCU. Nominated as an AMS living legacy, authored the Sensorial Extensions for the Colored Cylinders. Served as Director of OCU MTEP until 2011.

Several of our graduates have obtained PhD’s in education, early childhood, and environmental studies.

Many of the international students are working in schools in their homeland.
