OKCU Barbell Club

A United States Weightlifting Sanctioned Club

Founded in the fall of 2011, the OKCU Weightlifting/Barbell Club is dedicated to providing quality coaching and a great training space for those interested in Olympic Weightlifting. There are currently five members actively training with many more lifters learning and making progress towards regular training. Currently the club boasts two national even qualifiers listed below. We are looking forward to adding many more lifters to our national qualifier and competition list.

Tatiana Vazquez, 75+kg, Oklahoma State Champion, 2015

Brianna Rahall, 48kg, Oklahoma State Champion, 2014

Kayla Yraceburu, 75+kg, University Nationals 2013, 2014

Tanner Strunk, 62kg, University Nationals 2013

Training Times

Training times vary but currently times are 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mondays and Fridays, 1:30 p.m. Fridays, 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 3 p.m. Tuesdays. OKC community members are welcome and later and early training times are available upon request.

We hope to see you come by and train with us! If anybody is interested in helping support the club, we are always in need of funds for travel and equipment. Email Dr. Miller if you would like to help the club continue to grow and support the great lifters that train with us.
