Psi Chi, the national psychology honor society, has a prize-winning chapter at OCU. Programs include speakers from various branches of psychology and lunch is provided.

NAMI at OCU This is a newly formed campus chapter for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The purpose of the chapter is to promote awareness of mental illness in attempt to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.

Careers in Psychology

Psychology is a degree that prepares you for a variety of careers. While many graduates will remain in a psychology-related field, other students use their psychology degree to do work within the business sector, nonprofit sectors, health, and education.

OCU also has a Career Services Center that not only has career counselors available, but they also have other wonderful resources and hold workshops on resume writing and interviewing to help prepare students for graduate school or the work force.

If you score above a 22 on the ACT/100 SAT with a 3.0 GPA, you qualify for: 

Academic scholarships from $1,700–$8,000 per year

Departmental scholarships from $3,000–$11,000 per year
