Art Scholarship Opportunities
In addition to Scholarships offered by Oklahoma City University and the Petree College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Visual Arts has several endowed and gifted sources of financial assistance available to students majoring in Studio Art. Portfolio submissions will be considered for all available scholarships.
Majorie J. Norick and Frances Norick Lilly Endowed Scholarship for Students of Fine Arts
Preference is given to Studio Art and Graphic Design majors with demonstrated talent as judged by their portfolio, who reside in the state of Oklahoma.
Roberta M. Miller Scholarship
Available to students majoring in art at Oklahoma City University.
Ruth J. Brooks Scholarship
Award given to women who demonstrate demonstrable need, with achievement shown in painting, watercolor, drawing, or sculpture.
Virginia Berry Endowed Art Scholarship Fund
Award given to a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Studio Art.
Arlene Staats Endowed Scholarship
This award is given to a full-time student enrolled in the School of Visual Arts and has completed 60 credit hours.
Ken Yamamoto Memorial Scholarship
Award given to deserving students majoring in art at Oklahoma City University.
Brunel Faris Art Exploration Scholarship
Given each spring to an art student with at least a 3.0 overall grade point average who has demonstrated exceptional artistic capacity. This scholarship is awarded by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
