Business Pitch Competition for Transfer Students!

Attend our Business Pitch Competition on March 1 to Experience OCU and the Meinders School of Business. Compete for cash prizes and learn more about our programs and scholarships!

Meet OCU business professors and students who will help you and your team craft the perfect pitch!
Connect with admissions counselors and learn how to apply for transfer scholarships. * Students transferring from Oklahoma’s two-year colleges to OCU pursuing a business degree qualify for scholarship incentives. Learn more here.

Transfer Scholarships

Oklahoma Business Transfer Scholarship: Provides $5,000 per academic year for students transferring from any two-year college in Oklahoma.

Transfer Academic Scholarship: Offers all transfer students between $4,000 and $7,000 a year, depending on college GPA. Transfer students in the Meinders School of Business are also eligible for the Transfer Departmental Scholarship, which offers between $2,500 and $4,500, based on college GPA. What to Expect

Students will receive the scope of the Business Pitch the morning of the event. There isn't a need to prepare a pitch ahead of time. Meinders School of Business faculty and students will be paired up with students to provide mentorship to prepare their pitch.

Teams of 4 will compete for cash prizes:
$2,000 – First place
$1,000 – Second place
$500 – Third place

Individual Registration
Individuals are encouraged to come and experience the Pitch Competition! You will be placed on a team of 4 to compete.

Team Registration
There is no limit to the number of teams (comprising 4 members) that your organization can bring. Register your team(s) online at the link.

9 – 9:15 a.m. – Introduction to the Meinders School of Business (breakfast provided)

9:15 – 9:30 a.m. – Business student panel

9:30 – 11 a.m. - Overview of Business Disciplines

Professors from Economics, Marketing, Management, Accounting, and Finance provide an overview of each business discipline within the context of a business pitch competition.

11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Teamwork

Students form teams and develop a business pitch during a working lunch (lunch provided). Professors provide guidance/coaching as teams prepare business pitches.

12:30 – 1:30 p.m. – Pitches

Teams present their pitch to faculty and deans from the Meinders School of Business.

1:30 – 2 p.m. – Wrap Up

Receive feedback, learn about OCU scholarships, get OCU swag,

2 p.m. – Optional tour of campus. Students dismissed for the day.
