Spring Move-In

Oklahoma City University Housing and Residence Life look forward to welcoming our new and returning residents for the Spring 2022 semester!

On-campus residents both new and returning will arrive on campus for move-in, starting on Friday, January 7th, through Sunday, January 9th, between the hours of 9:00 AM-4:30 PM. If you are planning to return after January 9th, please email [email protected].

Incoming Physician Assistant students only are allowed to check in on Sunday, January 2, 2022. To schedule a move-in time between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM by emailing [email protected]. Requests will need to be made within 48 hours or later.

Checking In

When students arrive on campus to check-in for the spring term they will go to the designated locations that correlate with their assigned residential community.

      Q: I live in Walker Hall, how do I check in?

      A: Residents will arrive on campus park outside the building and come into the building to check in and receive their key. Once checked in the student will be able to move back into their room.

      Q: I live in Banning Hall, how do I check in?

      A: Residents will arrive on campus park outside the building and come into the building to check in and receive their key. Once checked in the student will be able to move back into their room.

      Q: I live in Methodist Hall, how do I check in?

      A: Residents will park in a park in the parking garage or non-visitor parking space and then go to the front desk in the Methodist hall Housing Office to check in and receive their key.

      Q: I live in Cokesbury, how do I check in?

      • New spring Residents will check in at the Housing Office within the Cokesbury Clubhouse to pick up your key and paperwork. You are able to arrive on January 15 to January 17th from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
      • Returning residents do not have a central check-in and will only need to email their RA upon arrival. This is due to the apartments not closing over the break this academic year.

      Q: Will OCU Move-In Volunteers be available to help Move-In?

      A: There will not be any move-in volunteers for spring move-in.

      Q: Will carts be available to help move items?

      A: There will be carts available for individuals to check out for Methodist Hall and Walker Hall which can be checked out at their front desks. It is the responsibility of the student moving in to clean the cart before and after use.

      Q: Are students able to bring their own Move-In helpers?

      A: Each student that is moving in is permitted to bring move-in helpers. There is not a limit on helpers.

      Q: Where do I park after I have unloaded my vehicle at my residential community?

      • If you moved into Walker and Banning Hall once you have unloaded your vehicle please park in the parking lot in front of Draper Hall or on Noble drive.
      • If you reside in Methodist Hall please park in any of the non-visitor parking spots around the building or within the two level parking garage that is under Methodist Hall.

      Q: What happens if I arrive after hours to move in?

      A: Unless approved at least 48 hours ahead of time by the Housing and Residence Life Department you will be asked to come back the following day to move-in during the Move-In time window.

      Q: How do I find out my housing assignment before move-in?

      A: For all new students, your Housing Assignment will emailed to your student OCU email account in mid December.

      Q: What if I am not able to move in during the scheduled move-in before the start of class?

      A: For any students that are not able to move into their spring assignments by the first day of classes January 10th must notify Housing beforehand by emailing [email protected].

      Q: When will Dining Services open?

      A: The Cafeteria and Alvin’s Market will open starting Friday, January 7th at dinner. Kitchen 1904 will open for service starting Tuesday, January 10th.
