Carrie has been a member of the Advancement team since 2011, serving as an administrative assistant and the director of annual giving before stepping into her current role in July 2019. As Director of Advancement Operations, Carrie oversees alumni and donor record management, gift processing and acknowledgement, prospect research, and reporting.

Carrie has served on Staff Council and Assessment Council for the university. Prior to coming to OCU, Carrie lived in China for three years and taught English and business communication skills.

Carrie is a 2013 graduate of OCU’s Nonprofit Leadership program and has been an active community volunteer with organizations such as the United Way of Central Oklahoma and the Midtown Rotary Club. She was the founding Chair of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network from 2013 to 2019 and has presented at the YNPN national conference.

Carrie's husband, Jesse Sauer, is a graduate of OCU's M.A. TESOL program. They have two young children and an adopted mutt.
