Biography

Emily Poppe has been a member of the OCU Advancement team since August 2022. Prior to coming to OCU, she served as the donor relations and annual giving specialist at Norman Regional Health Foundation. There, she developed and executed an annual giving solicitation strategy and multiple internal and external fundraising events. Emily is excited to be working in the education sector once again, having previously been the manager of operations at KIPP Reach College Preparatory, a public charter middle school in northeast Oklahoma City. Emily began her career in political consulting at CMA Strategies as their director of corporate communication, where she developed graphic design and communication efforts for political campaigns and grassroots advocacy initiatives. This experience instilled in her a deep passion for civic engagement and well-designed direct mail.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, where she studied multimedia communication. She is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City’s LOYAL Class XI and serves on the Board of Directors for RACE Dance Company. Emily lives in northwest Oklahoma City with her fiancé, Nathan, and enjoys spending time with her perfect dog named Kevin.
