Gregory DeCandia is a multimedia artist, director, and educator born in Boston, Massachusetts who has worked professionally in theatre for 17 years. While attending Emerson College, DeCandia founded BCKSEET Productions and served as its Producing Artistic Director before transitioning to his current role as Managing Director. For three years DeCandia performed as a company member of PlayMakers’ Rep as he earned his MFA at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Gregory created and hosted the official UNC Center for Dramatic Arts' podcast, thank you 10. DeCandia’s most recent directing projects were the documentary theatre productions: Kiladelphia, a musical about gun violence, and PHLash: A Mob Story at  Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia. DeCandia developed theatre curriculum and programming for Boys’ Latin (Head of Theatre Dept.), Guatemala’s Colegio Interamericano (Assistant Fine Arts Chair), the Free Library of Philadelphia, and the French Communications Institute of Philadelphia. Additionally DeCandia has written and performed in two original works: Hung on a Blonde Ponytail: An Act of Rock and the award winning solo docudrama "Silhouettes Of Service, which he is currently touring.
