After almost 30 years of work in pastoral ministry and social services, Dr. Meinhart moved to the academic work in educational philosophy and sociology. In addition to teaching in the criminal justice program, Meinhart directs the World House Scholars, a scholarship-based program engaging students in addressing issues of social and ecological justice. He also is involved in partnering with the OKC community to address a variety of issues, including com- munity-police relations, gang violence, immigration, and poverty.
