Biography

Judy has served as Assistant Vice President for Development at Oklahoma City University since May 2016. She first came to OCU as the Director of Development in October 2015 and served in that capacity for 6 months. As Assistant Vice President for Development, she has primary responsibility for fundraising through Corporate and Foundation Relations, Planned Giving and Major Gifts.  Prior to coming to OCU, she was the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Langston University for 1 ½ years. She also formerly worked for seven years at the University of Central Oklahoma as a Development Manager.
 
Judy is currently a member of the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber and a charter member and co-founder of the Latino Faculty/Staff/Alumni Association at the University of Central Oklahoma. She formerly served on the board of directors for the March of Dimes and has volunteered for the Regional Food Bank and the United Way.
 
Judy is married to David Henderson, a former major league baseball player and scout.  Together they have two children, Gabrielle and Kyle, and one grandson, Nemar.
 
Judy's hobbies include early a.m. workouts at the gym, going to the zoo with her son, Kyle, and watching her grandson play sports. Prior to entering her fundraising career, Judy worked at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma for fifteen years as a Cytogenetics Tech, studying human chromosomes.
