Biography

Before joining OCU, Kara worked for the State of Oklahoma interpreting the application of laws and provisions regarding disability for over 10 years. In higher education, accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis and require careful monitoring of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other ever-changing requirements set forth by municipal, state, and federal entities. Kara is able to use her experience at the state-level in her connections with the students, staff, and faculty of OCU to ensure that everyone gets the care they are entitled to.
