Biography

Kathy Carey earned her MAT, EC from OCU. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity College, Washington, DC. Kathy currently teaches Sensory Motor Learning and presents Brain Development, among other topics, at the spring seminar. She has co-taught the Basic Math course with Karen Towles. Kathy taught in the Primary Division at Casady School for 10 years. She is the co-editor of Montessori Life and former director of the Family Services and Child Development program at Rose State College. She serves on the Pambe Ghana Board of Directors, a non-profit group that supports the development of a Montessori school in Northern Ghana and also serves on the Board of Directors of Rainbow Fleet. Kathy is co-founder of One Day Montessori Preschool at Wesley UMC in Oklahoma City. Kathy holds an AMS EC credential.
