Biography

Hailing from the great state of New Jersey, Kristen Cerelli joins the OCU faculty after more than 16 years in NYC.  She is an actor, director, singer-songwriter, coach and educator.  A member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA, Kristen toured the country as Peter in Peter Pan (Theatreworks USA) and most recently appeared in the New York Musical Festival’s developmental production of Touché.  Other performance highlights include: Spring Storm (Theatre at St. Clements), Kaboom (Chery Lane), The Workroom (Manhattan Theatre Source), Hazard County (WHAT), Beaver (Red Room), 365 Plays (Berkshire Fringe), Talk to Me Like the Rain (78th St Theatre Lab), She’s Wild Again Tonight (indie film), The Sopranos (HBO).

Kristen has directed productions and taught theatre at SUNY Purchase, Oklahoma Baptist University, Raritan Valley Community College and Texas State University, and maintains a private practice coaching professional and aspiring actors.  As a singer-songwriter, she’s completed two albums of original music and has performed live at legendary venues like The Bitter End and Joe’s Pub.  Curious about the intersection of the arts, spirituality and self-development and thirsty for wisdom in all its forms, Kristen holds an ACC designation with the ICF, is a certified teacher with the National Michael Chekhov Association, Girls Leadership educator and a longtime practitioner of silent meditation.  She is also the devoted auntie to four awesome nephews.
