Biography

Laurena Sherrill (she/her/hers | Artist-in-Residence - Stage Management) started teaching and mentoring at OCU in the summer of 2022. She has organized large-scale events, managed performance venues, and coordinated theatrical experiences in the Oklahoma arts scene, Washington, D.C. and London. Most recently she served as the production manager for Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre during the reboot season. She also served as resident production stage manager for Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Festival of the Arts assistant for the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, and assistant production manager for the Schools of Theatre and Music at Oklahoma City University (OCU), where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s of fine arts in Stage and Production Management. Laurena lives in OKC with her partner, Nolan Baker, and their two dogs, Dex and Sky.
