The Dean was one of three faculty who began the OSU-OKC program in 1969. Her clinical passion is maternal-child, particularly labor and delivery. She initiated the first expectant parent classes in Oklahoma City in 1965. Dr. Salmeron has taught across all levels of nursing education: ADN, BSN, MSN, and PhD. She has served on many nursing committees: local, state, regional, and national, as a charter member of NAACOG (now AWHONN).
