Biography

Alumna: ’86 Bachelor of Science ’91 honorary Doctor of Humane Letters

2000 inductee – Oklahoma Commerce and Industry Hall of Honor

Lou Kerr is president and chair of the Kerr Foundation, Inc., in Oklahoma City. She evaluates and allocates funds to nonprofit organizations, programs, and institutions that enrich opportunities for all Oklahomans, with an emphasis on the young. She helped found Red Earth, Inc., For Youth Initiatives, and the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation. Kerr sits on the board of directors of numerous organizations, including NPR, National Academy of Public Administration, National Symphony Orchestra, Women’s Presidents Organization, and International Women’s Forum. Lou is co-author of A Cup of Cappuccino- The Women’s Entrepreneurs Edition.
