Professional Career

Tammy Powell joined St. Anthony’s as a new nurse in 1988. She left St. Anthony in 2000 and went to work at Norman Regional in quality and regulatory compliance, then at a psychiatric hospital in Norman. She was recruited back to St. Anthony in 2002. At St. Anthony’s she has taken on leadership roles such as Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer of Bone and Joint Hospital, President of Bone and Joint Hospital at St. Anthony, and her current position as President of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – Oklahoma City which she has held since 2013.
