Physical Therapy Application Instructions
All Doctor of Physical Therapy* (DPT) applicants must apply through the Physical Therapy Central Application Service (PTCAS). Application instructions for PTCAS are found at PTCAS.org.
The admission cycle will be available from July 1 through Nov. 1. All application documents must be submitted no later than Nov. 1. The cohort will begin in June, so you are applying for the following summer term.
The DPT Program does not have admission and enrollment practices that favor specified individuals or groups. All DPT applicants must meet the admission requirements.
Application materials
In order to complete the DPT Application, applicants must submit the following:
- PTCAS Application, which includes the following:
- Transcripts
- 3 letters of recommendation
- 1 letter each from the following: Licensed Physical Therapist whom the applicant has observed; Science Professor/Instructor; Additional Professor, health professional, or recent/current employer or supervisor
- Resume/CV
- Official GRE score report: OCU PTCAS Designated Institution Code = 4914
- Observation hours will be entered in PTCAS as well:
- Need 48 hours of PT observation
- PTCAS fee (determined by # of designated programs)
The OCU DPT Program DOES NOT have a supplemental application.
