OCU Hits the Tony Awards
The 72nd Tony Awards were last Sunday and OCU was well represented. Five of our alumni were in companies nominated: Colin Anderson in Carousel, Best Revival of a Musical, Abby C. Smith and Lauralyn McClelland in Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical, Best Musical and Heather Botts and Sasha Hutchings in My Fair Lady, Best Revival of a Musical.
Among the awards show attendees were alumnus Spencer Gualdoni and current student Celia Tedde. Spencer graduated with a Bachelor of Music and is currently the executive assistant to Broadway’s Jeff Calhoun and living in NYC. Celia is majoring in both Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance as a senior.
