Police Chief Pinning Ceremony

First Female Chief at OCU

Oklahoma City University has a new chief of police and for the first time in OCU’s history, a woman is leading the department! Jennifer Rodgers brings 28 years of law enforcement experience with the Oklahoma City Police Department to the job. She is an alumna, holding a Master of Arts in criminal justice from OCU. She also served as adjunct professor in Oklahoma City University’s criminal justice program.

The Oklahoma City Police Department Honor Guard presented the colors and student Kimberly Dychman sang the National Anthem.

President Henry read the Oath of Honor and performed the official pinning, joking that he had never pinned anyone through a bulletproof vest before.

“I am delighted to welcome Chief Rodgers back to the OCU campus,” Henry said. “Her accomplishments have been very impressive and her experience, leadership and dedication to our mission will serve the campus community well.”

Welcome, Chief Rodgers!
