This 10-Day Intensive is intended for high school students who plan to pursue Musical Theater, Acting or Vocal Performance at the college level. Each student will receive diagnostic feedback in the areas of Voice, Acting and Dance. This diagnostic feedback will include personal recommendations from OCU Professors in each area that will help set each student up for success during their college audition process. Throughout the 10 days here, students will participate in multiple mock auditions and dance calls, private voice lessons, repertoire building classes, and individual coaching with OCU’s Director of Opera Music Theater, Dr. David Herendeen.

This program is intended to prepare high school students for the rigorous life of a College Music Theater/Theater/Vocal Performance Major. The Pre-College Intensive will focus on individual growth in all triple threat areas and therefore will have no culminating performance. However, there will be many performance opportunities for the students throughout their time here. To participate in our fully staged musical, please consider our 3-Week Musical Theater Program.
