A major international business education association announced today an accreditation extension for Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), which represents the top business schools around the world, has extended OCU’s accreditation for an additional five years.

The Meinders School of Business has held AACSB accreditation since 2014. In addition to the AACSB designation, its two master’s degree programs in energy management and energy legal studies are accredited by the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Known for its rigorous standards of excellence in business education, AACSB represents the highest achievement for an educational institution. In order to earn and sustain accreditation, a school must align with 15 business accreditation standards including strategic management and innovation, faculty and staff proficiency, assessment and assurance of learning measurements, and providing professional engagement opportunities for students. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in business and accounting.
