The Distinguished Artists Series will feature a concert with conductor Gerard Schwarz at 8 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Petree Recital Hall.

Schwarz will present a multimedia retrospective of lessons culled from his decades as an innovator on the podium, including 26 years at the helm of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. His OCU concert will draw upon his new book “Behind the Baton,” his extensive recording catalogue, newly released 30-CD boxed set, and current work with The All-Star Orchestra and Khan Academy, which encourages greater understanding and enjoyment of classical music at all levels.
