Oklahoma City University was named both a Certified Healthy Campus and a Certified Healthy Business for 2019.
Certified Healthy recipients are recognized as leaders in their communities for going above and beyond to make health and wellness a priority.
The program began in 2003 as a collaboration of the Oklahoma Turning Point Council, the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals, the Oklahoma State Chamber, and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. The certification showcases businesses, campuses, communities, congregations, early childhood programs, restaurants, and schools that are committed to supporting healthy choices through environmental and policy change. The recipients are recognized for working to improve the health of Oklahomans by implementing elements, policies, and programs that will help Oklahomans eat better, move more, and be tobacco free.
