Student Professional Program

In partnership with the department of Student Employment, the Career Center's Student Professional (StuPro) program provides approximately 30 students with paid on-campus internship opportunities each academic year. This program promotes the connection between academic, career and personal development through experiential professional learning opportunities. Selected students are engaged to serve various departments on campus with the assistance critical to their success and efficiency!
This program provides opportunities for students to gain crucial experience in a professional setting while receiving invaluable mentoring from our talented staff and faculty.

Students
Program Requirements
All StuPro interns are required to fulfill two Professional Development (PD) activities and submit their Resume and Cover Letter to Career Services for review. Resume/Cover Letter submission and completion of one PD activity is required prior to the conclusion of the fall term. One of these PD activities must include participation in an OCU Campus Career Fair.
Professional Development Activities include:
- Career and Internship Fair, held each semester
- Career Services Presentation or Workshop, various opportunities each semester
- Etiquette Dinner
- Headshot and LinkedIn Profile Review or Development
- Mock Interview
- Networking or other school/professional association event (must be approved by Career Services)
Please note: Students who don't complete the program requirements will be inelligible for re-hire through the StuPro program.
