Describe your senior year in 3 words.

Busy, bittersweet, exciting

What advice would you give to next year's freshman class?

Get involved in anything and everything that you are interested in.

For students who are new to the OKC area, what is one place they should visit or restaurant they should try?

Café Kacao is my favorite place to get brunch in OKC, and it’s minutes away from OCU. It's essential to check in on Yelp first, because the wait is typically 1+ hours. That's how you know the food is going to be delicious.

What will you miss most about OCU?

I think that I will miss the professors the most. All the professors at OCU have such a vast array of knowledge, and I've loved having the opportunity to spend my time learning from them over the last four years.

What professor or staff member stands out from your time here, and why?

I can't really narrow it down to just one professor. Dr. Jurney is an amazing professor with a wealth of knowledge on tax. Tax is an evolving and difficult subject, but you can just tell by the way she teaches that she puts an extensive amount of effort in her classes to ensure students are getting the most out of the course.

Dr. Ma has provided me some of the best advice and guidance during my time at OCU. He is the type of professor that allows students to stop by his office any time they have a question or need advice because he just genuinely cares about all of his students.

What was your most memorable moment from this school year?

My most memorable moment from this year would be my last cross country race of my college career. I competed with my team at the NAIA Cross Country Nationals, and we finished in 13th place. It was a bittersweet moment, and I know that I will miss competing with the OCU team.

What is one thing you'd like to say to your family and/or friends on your graduation day?

Thank you to my family for supporting me throughout these last four years of college. I am so thankful for you guys everyday!

What are your plans after graduation?

My plans after graduation are to work at MidFirst Bank in the Officer Development Program. I am excited to be working for such a great company post-graduation. I will go through training to become a credit analyst while also rotating through different areas in the bank to see what department/position would best fit my skill set and interests. I am not exactly sure where this will take me in my career but as my favorite audit professor at OCU, Professor Murray, would say, “there is more than one way to get to Wal-Mart.”
