10:30 am - noon, Kerr McGee Auditorium, Meinders School of Business. Join university administrators as they have a candid conversation about campus life and how you can best support your student. University administrators are also excited to hear from you on how they can best support your student.

Stars Group Lunch

Noon - 1 pm, Various classrooms.The first meeting for new students with their Stars Groups and Stars Group Leaders. Lunch provided and parents and families welcome.

Petree College of Arts and Sciences Parent and Family Academic Orientation

1:30 - 2:30 pm, Great Hall, McDaniel University Center. Parents and families only information session for new Arts & Sciences students.

Find Your Class Tours

1:30 - 3:30 pm, Meet at West Lawn Pavilion for Guided Tours. In this time block, students are free to take care of university business, such as getting their Star Card, parking permit, checking their mailbox, etc.

There will be golf cart tours to take students to find their classes taking off from the Pavilion.

Chill Out with Residence Life

4 - 5 pm, Walker and Banning Halls. Take a break from this long day with popsicle and frozen treats in your residence hall!

Matriculation Choir Rehearsal

5 - 6 pm, Kirkpatrick Auditorium, Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center. Required of all freshman music majors enrolled in choir – music theater, vocal performance, BA, church music, choral music education, or instrumental majors enrolled in a vocal ensemble.

Star Groups Dinner

6 - 7:30 pm, Various location. Star groups will meet to get to know a valued member of the OCU Faculty or Staff and their family! Required of all new undergraduate students.

8:30 - 9 am, Students meet at McDaniel University Center Patio to prepare for the procession, Parents gather at east entrance of the Clara E. Jones Administration Building to view the procession. Attendance required of all new undergraduates.

8 - 9 pm, Various locations. Stars groups go head-to-head to compete to make it to the Traditions Rally Finals. Only the top 3 groups from each team will make it to finals.
