BA Program Highlights:

  1. Broad spectrum of theatre training to include acting, directing, design, theatre history, theatre for social justice, and devising.
  2. Enough flexibility to get a second BA in another field, or have two or three minors.
  3. Focus on storytelling, creation, and producing new work.
  4. Personal connection to faculty with small class sizes and mentoring.
  5. Opportunities abound- OCU produces more than 50 shows a year and that means there are plenty of opportunities to audition, direct, and design shows. Also many theatre students that qualify for Federal Work Study are able to work in the theatre in different capacities. And finally, we have seven global partnerships in our study abroad program. This means you can spend a semester studying theatre in the U.K, Italy, or Spain during your four years of study with us.

In your four years, you will get a chance to study a wide array of classes in the theatre field:

-Theatre for Social Change

-New Media and Digital Performance

-Arts Advocacy

Devising is a core curriculum highlight of the BA. Within your first semester, you will experience theatre in a new way by collaborating in class with your peers to create new work on a weekly basis.
