PSM/OCU Art Department Workshops 2021

Film and television production is currently booming in Oklahoma and there are great jobs available in a wide range of areas. Join Prairie Surf Media and faculty from Oklahoma City University’s School of Theatre and Film Department in a series of training workshops for people interested in becoming motion picture art department employees.

If you have an eye for detail and an interest in visual arts and design, designing and reimagining locations as film sets, or a love for visual storytelling, you might be eligible to work in the film industry in Oklahoma. Let us show you the details. Available positions that are in high demand include: Set Dressers, Assistant Set Decorators, Buyers, Props Crew Members, Scenic Artists and Painters, and Carpenters.

Join Prairie Surf Media and Oklahoma City University for a series of Art Department workshops June 19 – 23. Tristan Dalley, Production Designer for Nickelodeon’s “Fairly OddParents” and “Danger Force,” will begin by discussing art department jobs and starting participants off with a project. If you’re interested in working in the film industry in Oklahoma, please consider joining us. Workshop attendees must be 18 years of age or older.
