Two new members — Meg Salyer and William C. Mee — were elected to the Oklahoma City University board of trustees last month.
Salyer represents Ward 6 on the City of Oklahoma City Council. She is also president and CEO of Accel Financial Staffing and president of Broadway Realty. She serves on the Oklahoma City Riverfront Redevelopment Authority Committee, the Downtown School Site Selection Committee and the city council’s Economic Development Committee.
Salyer also serves on the boards for several organizations including Leadership Oklahoma, the Kirkpatrick Foundation, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics Foundation. She has earned the Urban Pioneer Award from the Plaza District Association, the Pathmaker Award from the Oklahoma City/County Historical Society, the Neal Horton Award for downtown revitalization from Downtown Oklahoma City, Inc., and was recently awarded the Mary Baker Rumsey Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Junior League of Oklahoma City.
Salyer earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in economics from Mount Holyoke College after studying at the University of London, Universite Libré de Bruxelles in Belgium and Franklin College in Switzerland.
Mee is a commercial real estate developer and asset manager with more than 23 years of regional and national experience. He owns and manages Pro Realty Real Estate Company in Oklahoma City. He was previously a corporate vice president and managing broker for Fleming/Progressive Realty, a broker forDon A. Karchmer, Inc. (DAK) and a loan specialist for Wells Fargo Bank.
Mee is a member of the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission, Oklahoma Commercial Real Estate Council and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
He holds a master’s degree in business from Oklahoma City University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Oklahoma.
