Arts & Culture

Oklahoma City University has long been known as a powerhouse in the performing arts, but there’s more to the campus experience when it comes to the arts and culture.

Located inside our Norick Art Center is the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery. The gallery provides a contemporary exhibition space that features rotating art shows by local and national artists. While it’s great to take in the art, our students often get the opportunity to work with visiting artists as they install their work, providing hands-on experience in art show curation.

Around campus, our offices of Student Life and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion work hard to present a slate of events that offer cultural exposure to our community. From Juneteenth celebrations, to international food nights, to multicultural celebrations, you’ll be surrounded by positivity as you learn about the cultures that make up our world.

And let’s not forget about our thriving on-campus performing arts scene. With more than 50 performances each year from our dance, music, and theatre schools, you can attend a show pretty much every week that school is in session. Don’t miss out on your chance to see the next generation of Broadway and Hollywood stars before they get their big break!
