For the Class of 2022, graduation is just two weeks away. In our Graduate Spotlight blog series, we're asking graduates how they're feeling about reaching this milestone in their lives.
Today we're shining a spotlight on Class of 2022 graduate Talla Khader, a psychology major from Edmond.
What have you enjoyed most about your time at OCU?
I've enjoyed building amazing relationships with individuals on campus. From classmates to professors, to faculty members, to even the Dean of my college. I've built friendships that I know will last forever
How do you feel about your upcoming graduation?
I am honestly excited to graduate and start the next chapter of my life. I do feel a bit nervous about change and leaving behind people that have strongly impacted my life, but I'll definitely be visiting often!
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan post-graduation is to start at OCU School of Law in the fall.
As a graduate, what is one piece of advice you’d give to a student beginning their college career next fall?
I would say stay true to yourself. As intimidating as college is at first, it's important to recognize that you don't always have to "fit in." Be proud of your differences and embrace them in every way that you can.
