Oklahoma Percussion Festival

Wanda L. Bass School of Music hosts the Oklahoma Percussion Festival on Friday and Saturday.

The festival features 20 performing ensembles from across the state of Oklahoma with approximately 250 students and directors in attendance; three guest artists -- Dr. Dave Hall from Texas, Dr. Julie Hill from Tennessee and Joe Doubleday from New York City; an OCU alumni percussion ensemble with alumni dating back to the 1980s; a mass marimba orchestra comprised of performers from all over Oklahoma; and a showcase concert by the Oklahoma City University Percussion Ensemble.

All events are held in the Bass Music Center and are free to the public!

For more information contact Dr. Tommy Dobbs ([email protected]) or Dr. Jamie Wind Whitmarsh ([email protected]).
