Chickasaw-Choctaw artist Erin Shaw collaborated with The Spero Project, a local nonprofit organization that welcomes resettled refugees, on a new exhibition currently on display in the OCU Norick Art Center Nona Jean Hulsey Gallery. This exhibition, Many Waters, includes seven paintings each featuring a dominant color that connects to the fabric vessel in the center of the gallery. Shaw collaborated with individuals from Sudan, Congo, Myanmar, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Nicaragua as well as her own Chickasaw Nation to tell their stories through art.
Please join us for the public event featuring the artist and individuals from The Spero Project on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
